GEELONG’s famous Oaks series ($15,000 in prizemoney) highlighted yet another brilliant week of racing in Western Victoria, with Michael Fearnley’s Miss Suzie Que taking the honours in a thrilling encounter on Friday night.

Rapid advances from Mepunga Treasure in the last twenty metres of the race took the race right to the line, but strength from Miss Suzie Que saw the lightly raced bitch take out the $12,000 first prize – overcoming competition such as Call Me Gee, Flaming Electra and Nayla Swift.
