A TALENTED field contested a fiery Grade 5 final at Beckley Park on Friday evening, with the classy Ernest Bale notching his second win in a row at Geelong.
Ernest Bale, who was last out of the boxes and trailed heading around the first turn, weaved through a field of talented chasers – including superstar Zoltina’s Legacy.
From there, he showed great race sense to hug the rail heading into the final straight – nipping Zoltina’s Legacy for first place on the line – and gifting the Collins’ kennel a best of the night time (25.58sec) over the 460 metres.
