Greyhound racing will take centre stage on Wednesday night with the Group 2 TAB Warrnambool Cup final (450m) to be run at 8.37pm.
Six heats were conducted last Thursday, producing a host of upset results, with the six winners and two fastest 2nd placegetters qualifying for the $45,000 final.
Arguably the most eye-catching performance came from Zambora Smokey, who overcame driving rain to overpower champion sprinter Simon Told Helen and record his seventh straight win in the fastest time of the day (25.08sec).
