South Australian greyhound owner and breeder Neville Loechel was one of the happiest men in greyhound racing on Tuesday when his star litter siblings Weblec Ace and Weblec Jack won their way through to this Saturday night’s $35,500 Group 3 Warragul St Leger over 460 metres.
Neville’s night didn’t stop there either, with another litter sibling claiming race seven at Horsham on Tuesday, giving the Kinloch Brae and Weblec Rose litter three winners in the space of four hours.
“I am shaking like a leaf,” Loechel said. “We aren’t used to having one winner, let alone three in the same night.”
