Long-serving Sale GRC President John Waugh has passed away.
A member of the Sale GRC since the late 1980s, Waugh was invited to join the committee in 1994, becoming vice-president in 1995 and president in 1998, a position he held for over 20 years.
His funeral will be held on Friday 17 January at the Maffra Catholic Church at 1pm, with the wake to follow at the Sale GRC.
John was recognised for his efforts in the greyhound racing industry when awarded the Ken Carr Medal in 2013 for his outstanding contribution to the Victorian greyhound racing industry.
