The late Frank Clohesy

Former greyhound trainer and administrator Frank Clohesy has passed away, aged 87.

Frank served as a director on the Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association board from 1988 to 1995, when the club was based at Olympic Park.

A close friend of GRV Hall of Fame inductees Ron Nestor and George Schofield, Frank was a passionate coursing man, winning the 1971 Waterloo Cup with Bobalina & 1974 St. Leger with Toberlina.

Frank was also a policeman who supervised in the members area of the MCG for about 25 years, and he made headlines in 2004 when he took on the might of the Melbourne Cricket Read full article
