Mick Fearnley (pictured) is hoping to do one better in this years 2016 Group 2 $67,000 Traralgon Cup (525m) with his in form chaser Funky Pirate.
Last year, Fernando Bale claimed victory over Fearnley’s chaser Harlon in the first Traralgon Cup on the newly developed track (replay).
Drawing box 8 this year with Funky Pirate, Fearnley will be hoping for a repeat of tonight’s performance.
The son of Magic Sprite and Really Elite went into the heats with 10 wins and four minor placings from 25 starts, and only being defeated once in four starts at Traralgon.
