Western Bulldogs Captain Bob Murphy was on hand to launch greyhound racing’s brand new Gippsland Carnival today at the Seaspray Lifesaving Club.
Murphy, who is originally from Warragul, met with a team of greyhounds including Catalan Flyer (pictured) on the beach to announce the $800,000 Carnival, which starts with the Sale Cup on Boxing Day before coming to completion at the Traralgon Cup in March.
The Carnival is to provide a tremendous boost to the Gippsland economy.
