PROMINENT Victorian greyhound trainer and breeder Darren Brown has been suspended by Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) stewards after one of his greyhounds returned an out of competition swab sample to a permanently banned substance.
The sample was taken from the greyhound Velobell at Brown’s property and was found to contain the prohibited substance Dehydronorketamine when tested by the Racing Analytical Services Laboratory (RASL).
Brown was charged with a breach of GAR 79A (4)(i) which relates to greyhound being free of permanently banned substances.
