‘Rearing and Pre-Race Training’ was the topic at last Sunday’s Stakeholder Engagement Workshop, held at The Meadows.
More than 60 participants attended, as well as a number of GRV staff, firstly welcomed by Alan Clayton, GRV’s CEO, who set the context for the day’s discussion. Following Mr Clayton’s address, GRV’s Chief Information Officer Andrew Gibson gave a presentation on how many dogs bred make it to the track; the number of litters produced per breeder (most breeders produce one or two litters per year); and the destination of retired greyhounds and the rate of re-homing.
