Speed Star shuffling towards Cannonball Sprint at Geelong

Tonight, Speed Star will line up in Geelong’s $5,000 to-the-winner Cannonball Sprint from box three for team Dailly.

Usually a faultless beginner, Speed Star won his Cannonball heat last week after being beaten out of the boxes by the David Geall trained Untold Soldier.

Still clocking 8.35sec to the first mark, Speed Star crossed to the rail from box seven camping behind Untold Soldier before finding the lead and recording the fastest qualifying time of 22.36sec.
