Space Star breaks track record in Superstayers heat

SPACE Star’s brilliant run of form continued at The Meadows on Saturday night, breaking the 725m track record in heat one of the Group 1 Superstayers series.

Exiting from box one, the Robert Britton-trained chaser stepped beautifully from the inside alley and led throughout in a blistering time of 41.93. Fittingly, the previous record of 42.03 was held by another talented Robert Britton stayer, Nellie Noodles, recorded back in April of 2010.
