NSW veteran rises in Topgun Stayers

Blue Moon Rising has taken out tonight’s Group 1 Topgun Stayers (725m) in start number 101.

Easily the most experienced greyhound in the field, Blue Moon Rising surprised onlookers as he settled in fourth position for much of the journey.

However, as the high quality trio of Tornado Tears, Bago Bye Bye and Rajasthan tangled up approaching the home turn, John Finn’s underrated star swept around the outside of them to take the lead before holding off a late charge from reserve Just Terms.
