Two outstanding heats of the NSW National Sprint Championship were run and won last night at Wentworth Park, with Queen Esther and Chica Destacada both ultra-impressive over the 520m distance.
Queen Esther went into heat one as the $1.80 favourite for Hamlyn Terrace trainer Noelene Holloway and began beautifully from box one, clocking a speedy time of 29.77. Booming Bennett was fastest away, with the daughter of Lochinvar Marlow and Fascinate Marina hot on her heels at the first turn, streaking away to score by two and a half lengths at the finish.
