Racing Queensland (RQ) Stewards today conducted an inquiry into the analyst’s findings in respect of a urine sample taken from the registered greyhound Willy Be Topps, which placed second in Race 3 at Albion Park on 14 August 2014.
After taking evidence from the trainer of Willy Br Topps, Mr Ned Snow, Stewards issued a charge against Mr Snow pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule (GAR) 83 (2)(a) to which he pleaded guilty.
GAR 83 (2)(a) reads:
The owner, trainer or person in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in an event shall present the greyhound free of a prohibited substance.
