MY Boy Brodie confirmed his status as Australia’s most improved stayer with a tenacious win in the Group 1 Gold Cup (710m) at Albion Park on Thursday night.
Stepping fairly from box two, the blue fawn dog was held up around the first turn as the field bunched together, with first reserve Vegas Bound shooting through to a clear lead, while race favourite Cyndie’s Magic (box six) was spat out the back.
