The 2016 RSN Sandown Cup (715m) has drawn seven heats this Thursday night, demonstrating a rise in depth in Victorian greyhound racing’s staying ranks at present.
This is believed to be a record number of heats for the series, which is greyhound racing’s richest staying race in the world.
“We believe it’s a record number of heats,” said Sandown GRC CEO Greg Miller.
“We’ve asked our Directors, most of whom have been around a long, long time, and none of them can recall there ever being so many heats of this great race.”
