Lord Gee takes time honours in New Sensation heats

CHRISTINE Proctor’s Lord Gee set an impressive standard in Friday night’s Group 3 New Sensation heats at Wentworth Park, clocking an smart time of 29.88 over 520m.

Exiting from box three, the son of El Grand Senor and Oh Em Gee took the lead approaching the first turn and led throughout, scoring by 2.5 lengths over Aphorism, which held his position well for the entire race. Inside runner Gundal A Gogo finished a further 6.75 lengths away in third, with $2.00 race favourite Zipping Sonny failing to find a run after a poor getaway from box five.
