Greyhound racing in Healesville, situated in the heartland of Victoria’s popular Yarra Valley precinct, is considered to have enormous growth potential.
However, this is not all beer (or wine) and skittles as some locals aren’t the type to embrace racing.
“A lot of the locals are greenies who think racing is cruel, but anyone who comes to the track can see that the greyhounds are a picture of health and happiness,” said Liz Schulze of the Healesville Greyhound Association.
