Litter brothers Especial Shiraz and Go Commando are making their mark in greyhound racing’s rich $410,000 Group 2 Launching Pad series, semi-finals of which will be held over 515 metres at Sandown Park tonight.
“When you breed a litter of pups you give up a lot of time and a lot of money, so to have pups involved in a series like the Launching Pad, where you get the best young greyhounds from all around Australia coming together, it’s a great feeling,” said breeder Peter Knott, who is based in Carnegie, right near Caulfield Racecourse.
