Former Greyhound Racing Victoria Chairman, the late Mrs Jan Wilson OAM, was this week inducted into the 2017 Victorian Honour Roll for Women for her advocacy to improve animal welfare practices across the State.
After she retired from politics in 1999, Mrs Wilson was appointed Chairman of Greyhound Racing Victoria, and for a decade she was Chairman of the sport’s national body, Greyhounds Australasia. Such was her impact that she was elected President of the World Greyhound Racing Federation for three years.
