HEIDI BENZ gave her little-known sire Westmead Osprey his first Group winner on Saturday night, taking out the Group 2 Vince Curry Memorial maiden over 520 metres at Ipswich.
Her UK-bred father, a son of Westmead Hawk, now stands at stud in Queensland at eight years of age.
The black dog was a Group 1 winner and track record holder overseas and has 40 litters on the ground in Australia.
