The Reg Kay trained Happy Haswell reaffirmed that he’s one of the country’s most promising young dogs in the Group Three Ipswich Cup on Saturday night.
Kay had told ARG through the week just how good he thought Happy Haswell could be.
“If he only had a little bit more early pace, he could be one of the best dogs in Australia for his age,” Kay said.
The 31kg blue brindle dog, who has only just turned two, franked those comments by scorching to an 11 1/2 length victory in a rapid 30.23.
