Victorian greyhounds raised $6,000 for the Police Legacy Remembrance Fund during May.
Every time a greyhound wearing the blue number four rug won a race at The Meadows or Sandown throughout the month of May, GRV donated $250 to the fund in honour of the four fallen police officers who lost their lives in a tragic crash on Melbourne’s Easter Freeway on 22 April.
Remarkably, two greyhounds – Black Opium (pictured) and Faithy Bale – won twice in town wearing the blue rug in May.
