Fire Hose ‘extinguished’ his rivals in yesterday’s $22,295 Mark Hughes Foundation Prospector final (425m) at Bendigo.
Prepared at Sale by Christopher Tilley, Fire Hose ($2.80) ‘poured the pressure’ on his rivals to claim a $15,000 first prize in a slick 23.75sec. The winning time was more than five lengths quicker than his 24.07sec heat win.
Fire Hose notched his sixth win from 11 starts, including four from five at Bendigo. He’ll next contest a Winter Classic heat (440m) at Sale tomorrow.
Last month, Fire Hose was a Pink Diamond Rookie Sprinter finalist (450m) at Ballarat.
