Victorian sprinter Emerald Rainbow has upset hot favourite Good Odds Harada to take out the 2019 Goulburn Cup.
A $17 chance, the David Geall-trained Emerald Rainbow (Fernando Bale – Where’s Demonica) gave away a start to the recent Million Dollar Chase winner Good Odds Harada ($1.30) before hunting up on the rail to snare the $25,000 first prize.
According to a report in the Greyhound Recorder, Lara trainer David Geall made a starting admission heading into Sunday’s final.
“To be truthful I didn’t know he (Good Odds Harada) was going there … if I had I would have stayed at home,” Geall confessed.
