The need for the right diet that keeps greyhounds healthy and in top racing condition is well understood by participants. However special care still needs to be taken in the days leading up to a race to make sure dogs aren’t accidently fed anything that may generate a positive drug swab. In particular, knackery meat may contain various prohibited substances, such as procaine.
