Record crowds have attended Gippsland’s third greyhound racing carnival this year with Saturday’s Australia Day celebrations at the Sale Greyhound Racing Club expected to be another blockbuster.
Normally a four-club event, this year, because of the closure of the Traralgon club due to upgrades, the Carnival has taken a different approach and will culminate at Cranbourne, Saturday, February 9.
The Traralgon Cup was to be held this Saturday, January 26, but drainage issues have compromised the track, which is temporarily closed for a major upgrade.
