Azzopardi takes aim at Peter Perfect

Anthony Azzopardi believes fellow Victorian Peter Galo, TAB’s $1.60 favourite, could be vulnerable in Sunday afternoon’s Group Listed SEN National Straight Track Championship (350m) at Healesville.

The inaugural National Championship will pit the best straight-course speedsters from Victoria, South Australia and Queensland against each other, with a $35,000 purse awaiting the winner.

In last Sunday’s Victorian State Final, track specialist Peter Galo, trained by Garry Selkrig, defeated Anthony Azzopardi’s Myrniong And All in 19.09s, improving his superb Healesville record to 16 from 23, with 14 of his victories over 350m.
