Champion trainer Robert Britton won his third Australian Cup with classy greyhound Fanta Bale causing a major upset to claim the $250,000 winner’s cheque.
Despite having won two Group 1 races at The Meadows in recent months, albeit over the 600 metres distance, Fanta Bale paid $8.30 when storming home to defeat Eminent Reality and Aeroplane Bob in 30.01sec.
