Australian-bred stayer Dyna Weslyn ($1.40 Fav) took out New Zealand’s prestigious Duke of Edinburgh Silver Collar final (779m) at Manukau on Sunday.
Having raced predominantly in NZ, Dyna Weslyn has amassed 22 wins from just 35 starts including six victories from her past seven starts.
Dyna Weslyn is a daughter of Xylia Allen, an all-time great who won the 2013 Victorian Greyhound of the Year award.
Fellow Aussie exports Shooters Hill and Vandagambo, the latter bred by RSN’s James Van de Maat and trained by Gippsland’s Gerry O’Keefe, filled the minor placings.
